Healing Seat Rock

Some believe that this Healing Rock aka The Balance Rock, with a built-in seat and stone footstool, has remarkably good vibrations. This was discovered by members in more recent years.

As it says on the sign, feel the seat before sitting as it could be wet.

The one story about The Healing Seat Rock that this author knows is one which might explain vibrations and energy a little, if you are not familiar with the concept.

Diane and Phyllis were walking back up from the pond when they stopped to sit on the Healing Seat Rock to rest. Phyllis was 92 years old at the time and could make it almost the quarter mile back to camp but needed a rest. Diane felt the rock and it was dry so she invited Phyllis to sit down. Phyllis asked, “Why is this rock vibrating?” Diane explained, “You know that Energy Medicine I teach? It is all about frequencies and vibrations. Well, that rock is vibrating with that Universal Life energy.” Phyllis’s mouth dropped open and she said, “I can really feel it!”

Phyllis is no longer with us on this earth plane but we believe she still watches over us while we are having fun in what was once her summer home. She never officially became a Spiritualist but she was at our church service every Sunday morning with her four sons who also spent the summers here. She passed to Spirit at the ripe old age of 101 and four months so maybe spending summers here at Camp Etna is a good thing.
