Gladys Laliberte Temple

8 Bishop Row

This structure, built in 1971, is the third temple to stand on our grounds. We believe the first temple was built back in the 1800s and was called The Pavillion. The second temple, pictured here, was built after the devastating fire in April 1922 and seated 1100 people. That temple collapsed under a heavy snow load in the winter of 1971. The temple standing here now was built largely with funds from Tony Laliberte and named after his wife Rev. Gladys LaLiberte. We are thankful to Tony and Gladys LaLiberte for their funds and dedication. We are also thankful for the labor George Paul put into our current Temple.
